About The Campus
Utica University's 128-acre campus is located in a largely residential section of west Utica, directly across Champlin Avenue from the St. Luke's campus of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.
Visitors to Utica University will notice a number of distinctive features, including expansive lawns and green spaces, walkways lined flower beds and ornamental plantings, a large number of mature trees, examples of outdoor sculpture, and significant new construction and recently completed facilities.

Facilities and Directions
About Romano Hall
Completed in 2007 and named in honor of one of the University's most generous benefactors, F. Eugene Romano Hall provides approximately 23,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and clinical space as well as modern technology for students studying physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing.
Features
This innovative facility houses state-of-the-art resources for learning, research, and clinical study. These include:
- Dr. Albert and Gloria Shaheen Nursing laboratory
Fully-equipped recreation of a modern hospital ward, including nurse's station, bedside monitoring and respiration technology, and more to facilitate clinical training at a very high level. - Eugene and Connie Corasanti Human Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory
A state-of-the-art controlled environment specially appointed for the study of human anatomy. - Physical therapy teaching laboratory
A versatile instructional lab equipped to accommodate both lecture and hands-on learning.

About Bull Hall
This innovative facility provides an appropriate platform for the cutting-edge research and learning initiatives that will take place at Utica University over the coming decades. It will also be the setting for:
- Conferences involving CIMIP and Economic Crime Institute partners
- Residencies for Utica's leading-edge graduate programs in cybersecurity and economic crime management
- Training for law enforcement professionals on the local, state, and federal levels
- Corporate training in fraud prevention and identity protection

About the Simon Center
Named in honor of one of Utica's most celebrated faculty members, Professor Emeritus of Public Relations Raymond Simon, this state-of-the-art high-definition broadcast facility provides a hands-on learning environment for the next generation of media professionals.
Features
Located in the basement of the Faculty Center, in Room RCB03, The Simon Convergence Media Center is comprised of four fully integrated components:
- Lyn Heywood Simon ’56 Broadcast Studio
The centerpiece of the facility, this studio features fully equipped sets for news and interviews, a green screen, and two robotic high definition television cameras. - Corinne Flo-Grates Control Room Contains digital switcher, audio console and communication gear to control studio productions and connect the studio with the classroom and edit room.
- Christopher and Virginia Kelly Multimedia Classroom Electronically linked to the broadcast studio is a cutting-edge multimedia classroom with 15 workstations and several large flat-panel screens for instruction in video, audio, and Web production.
- Leo ’54 and Joan ’54 Brannick Editing Room
A fully appointed digital editing suite for video and audio post production.
There is also an audio isolation booth equipped for digital radio and voiceover sound production.

Where Utica University Is Located
Utica University is located in Utica, N.Y., 50 miles east of Syracuse and 90 miles west of Albany. Utica is approximately five hours by car from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Montreal.
From points east and west
Travel the New York State Thruway I-90 to Exit 31 (Utica). Follow the signs carefully to Route 12 South and take the Burrstone Road/Utica University exit. The exit ramp ends at a stop light; take a left onto Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).
From New York City
Take the New York State Thruway I-87 North to I-90 West. See the above paragraph for directions from the Thruway.
From Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey
Take I-81 North or other connecting routes to Route 12. Follow Route 12 North to Utica. Exit at Burrstone Road/Utica University. Follow exit ramp to Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).
From the north
Take Route 12 South to Utica. Exit at Burrstone Road/Utica University. The exit ramp ends at a stop light; take a left onto Burrstone Road West and look for the sign marking the entrance to Utica University (on the right).
